About Nina

Im my early 20s, begrudgingly I was pulled to a yoga class in Buenas Aires by a friend while studying abroad. She promised me language immersion and what I received was so much more. Since that summer, in 2010, I found yoga and yoga found me.

Over the years, my practice has evolved and so has my life. Through moves around the country and changes in my body, my yoga mat has stayed at my side to keep me grounded, strong, and joyful in my body and self.

In 2015 I earned my 200YTT with Its Yoga International in Nicaragua and deepened my study of Ashtanga Yoga. Following, I continued my studies with Annie Carpenter Smart Flow in 2017 and Connection Coalition’s Trauma Informed Training. In 2019, I furthered my education in the discipline with Jason Crandell and his advanced teacher training. In 2022 and 2024 respectively, I completed my Relax and Renew® Teacher, Level 1 and Relax and Renew® Teacher, Level 2 Therapeutic Applications of Restorative Yoga certification with Judith Hason Lasater. Additionally, I am a pre-natal teacher and received by Mama Tree Prenatal Level 1 Certification with Jane Austin in Fall 2022.

Nina works with students of all ages and abilities. Her prop closet is busting at the seams and she brings bolsters, yoga chairs, straps, and blocks to all her private sessions. It is her greatest joy to help everyone and every body see themselves in yoga.

Nina is an educator both on and off the mat. Nina was a classroom teachers for 9 years - 7 in Oakland Unified School District and currently leads educator learning and professional development with Lead by Learning a program of the Mills College at Northeastern University in Oakland, California,.
